She came in as YANKEE and left as TURNAGAIN and in the interim she got a brand new wheel house. The original fiberglass covered plywood house was coming apart …fiberglass sheathing had separated from the plywood structure and the resulting rot had taken its toll. Our shipwrights removed almost all of the original house and built an exact replica in situ. The structure was fabricated from heavy marine ply and sheathed an epoxy glass laminate for the ultimate in strength and durability. Careful preparation and planning allowed all the original commercial fishing gear to be re-installed without modification. The interior was finished to yacht standards and the exterior finish painted with Sterling LPU.
